Taika Waititi May Join James Gunn’s ‘The Suicide Squad’

The DCEU — the World’s of DC — or whatever it goes by the name of nowadays may soon have another prominent member of the MCU family join it’s ranks.

According to Deadline, Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi is in talks to join the cast of Gunn’s The Suicide Squad. No details were provided on who Waititi might play, or how big a role is, it’s just another fun addition to the film.

Filming should begin next month, with Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman and Viola Davis all reprising their roles from the first film.

They will be joined by Idris Elba, Nathan Fillion, Steve Agee, Storm Reid, David Dastmalchian and Daniela Melchior, all new to the franchise.

The Suicide Squad is set to hit screens on August 6, 2021
