Days ahead of the release of the much anticipated “Snyder Cut”, better known as Zack Snyder’s Justice League, actress Kiersey Clemons will be reprising her role as Iris West in The Flash. In the comics Iris West is the love interest of Barry Allen, also known as “The Flash”.
There was question whether Clemons would be included in The Flash film, given her role was cut by Joss Whedon for the theatrical cut of Justice League. But it seems even though Zack Snyder’s Justice League is non canon for WB’s DC films, they are still pulling from what Snyder set up in his “Snyder Verse.”

It is also well known that The Flash will be a multiverse movie of sorts. With actors like Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton, both reprising their roles as their respective versions of Batman simultaneously. The film will also include a multiverse Supergirl, played by Sasha Calle.
This extensive cast has also lead to an outcry for Cyborg actor, Ray Fisher to join the fray. Fisher was initially set up to reprise his role in The Flash, but with claims of DC films president,Walter Hamada, attempting to interfere in the Justice League investigation. Fisher made it clear he no longer wanted to work with him unless proper accountability was met. And thus he was let go from the Flash. But with the recently released character teasers for Zack Snyders Justice League, Cyborg was the most viewed out of all of them. So Fisher remains a huge draw. And it’s because of him a lot of attention was put onto the minority actors that didn’t get a fair shake in the Joss Whedon theatrical Justice League, such as Ciersey Clemons, Karen Bryson, and much of the actual backstory of Ray Fisher himself, which included Joe Morton’s Silas Stone, along with Chinese actor Ryan Zheng who portrayed the Atom.
Kiersey Clemons is most well known for portraying “Darling” in the 2019 live actionLady and the Tramp, and also for the films Dope and Hearts Beat Loud, which were Sundance darlings if you will.
The Flash is set for a 2022, November release and is set to start filming this April. It is being directed by Andy Muschietti, with Christina Hodson penning the script. And Barbara Muschietti and Michael Disco are producing the film as well. But before you can catch her in The Flash, you can see her in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, which will be releasing on HBOMAX on March 18th.
